‘Franciscan Peace-making’ – with Jonathan Herbert.
The prayer, ‘Lord, make us Instruments of your peace…’, may not have been composed by St Francis himself, but it expresses his deep commitment to reconciliation in all its aspects. This weekend will be reflecting on what made him such an influential peace-maker and what we have to learn from him for peace-making in our world today.
The weekend will involve input about the life of Francis, modern peace-makers and look at how we find inner and outer peace in our own lives. There will be a chance to make a group weaving on the Saturday afternoon that will symbolise aspects of peace-making.
